Small Ways Add Up
23 Jul
Have you ever met someone who inspired or touched you in some way from the first interaction?
Three months ago when I launched this blog I was nervous and anxious. My natural exuberance at starting something new was silenced by my fears: Would anyone read? Would anyone comment? Would my writing make a difference?
The second comment on my very first post came from a stranger, Raam Dev and what so surprised me was not just that he was a stranger, but that he offered his help and support. That one action – reaching out and offering encouragement – made such a difference to me that day. It gave me hope that in this digital, social media driven world I’d entered there was still a face of humanity.
Raam and I have not met. I have yet to offer my hug of thanks in person as he’s currently in Nepal. And yet…he’s touched my life. That’s who he is.
Small Ways to Make a Big Difference was generated by Raam’s passion to make a difference; it is his call to action.
This ebook is a plea for help. It’s a voice shouting in a crowded room full of people who care but who are entirely oblivious to each other.
Raam cares and he’s inviting all of us to care with him. I may be naive but I truly believe that we all want to make a difference in some way.
What stops us? Usually our limiting beliefs; the lizard brain’s chatter that kills off possibility in a heartbeat.
But here’s the thing…
One person CAN make a difference.
You. Me. Raam. Each of us in our own unique way makes a difference every day. How often do we notice or acknowledge it and each other?
Small Ways to Make a Big Difference asks us to take notice, to take a stand and question the status quo. It takes courage to ask, “What can we do?” and then ask others to begin asking the same question.
Raam’s extraordinary commitment has attracted a host of contributors who believe, like he does, that we can all have a positive impact on the world. I am honoured to be one of these contributors.
This book was created for people who want to make a difference.
I say that’s you.
Download the book, read it and spread the good vibes and wisdom contained in these 160 pages. Doing so can be your immediate small way to make a difference today.
If not now, when?
