Day 23 – Magic

” Those who don’t believe in magic will never find it.”- Roald Dahl

Magic is all about belief.

What do you believe about yourself?

Is it still serving you or is it time to let it go?

“Children see magic because they look for it.” – Christopher Moore

See through the eyes of a child.

From this perspective magic is all around.

What magical aspect of you will you consciously acknowledge this year?

“Magic is believing in yourself, if you can do that, you can make anything happen.” –  Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

It’s way easier to believe in others than to believe in yourself.

What do others believe about you that you could try on for size?

“A little magic can take you a long way.” – Roald Dahl

You don’t have to change the world (or your life) all at once.

What bit of magic could you sprinkle over yourself today?

“It’s a magical world, Hobbes, ol’ buddy. . .let’s go exploring!” – Calvin & Hobbes

The time for playing small is over.

Your passions and strengths are waiting to be unleashed!

What is longing to be born?

“Even I never dreamed of Magic like this!” – C.S. Lewis

Grab your journal and set your dreams free.

What dream have you not been willing to speak out loud?

“There was a time when people accepted magical experiences as natural.” – Paulo Coelho

Maybe you believe it’s possible for others, but not for you.

What if magical experiences were a natural part of your life?

They are anyway. . .you just have to pay attention!

Over to you:

  • Which aspect of magic resonated with you?
  • What are some ways magic might play a bigger part of the coming year?

Breathe life into your dreams by sharing them below!

#reverb11 is a prompt driven writing project during the month of December. Its purpose is to inspire reflection and create intention for the coming year.

What a great thing to be accustomed to magic, and yet as you say that holds its own challenge. Awareness is always the key, isn't it?

“Children see magic because they look for it.” – Christopher Moore YES! Magic is all around, but we have to look for it. For me I experience it the most when in the natural world - watching squirrels in trees, seeing a beautiful sunset, hearing ocean waves. I'm challenging myself to take the time to see and feel it in my life every day!

Yes, we do have to look for it and not just once, but consistently. It's always there around us, and as you say, especially in nature!

Sandi, I love your biz name, tagline, energy and focus so much, I"m including you as a resource in my new eBook:  Remounting in Midlife to be posted today!

Wow Brenda, thanks so much! Sounds like you're fully on board the mischief-magic making wave!

OMG I feel like you just pierced my heart and let it breathe!  I have been thinking a lot about this over the past few weeks.  Big.  Something big.  I see it.  Destiny and all that.  But I am so excited about 2012 that I actually just want it to hurry up...but I don't want to miss anything in 2011 either.  I still have 10 more hugs to give out this year (at minimum).  So yes.  Much like Jen I am so right here.  I will unleash the dreams...believe in the magic.  Life is all about that.  xoxo  Welcome the mischief!

I think I'm going to start a band of merry mischief makers ;-)

Holy cow Sandi!!  I am so right here.  This post is perfection and so resonant!  I'm gonna need to read this again :)

Thanks Jen! I'm now thinking my two words for 2012 are mischief and magic! Happy to see others resonating with this theme :)
